Antony’s Experience

“I’m Antony, a fourth-year Civil Engineering and Finance student at UNSW, driven by a passion to contribute to practical and lasting engineering solutions.”

Joining LOKA, Antony brought strong academic knowledge and a clear desire to understand how engineering is applied in practice. Through hands-on involvement, he gained exposure to multiple disciplines and developed the skills needed to operate in a professional environment.

During the program, Antony contributed to:
• Traffic engineering tasks, including swept path analysis and intersection assessments using AutoTURN and SIDRA
• Preparation of traffic reports, site operation plans, and supporting documentation for council submissions
• Stormwater drainage and erosion and sediment control design in line with Australian standards and local requirements
• Drafting drawings and documentation for Development Applications (DA)
• Reviewing plans to support compliance with accessibility requirements under the Building Code of Australia

Through structured mentoring and day-to-day collaboration with our engineers, Antony strengthened not only his technical capabilities but also essential professional skills such as communication, problem-solving, and time management.
